Under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and the Chamber of Ready-Made Garments and Textiles, the 78th edition of Cairo Fashion & Tex—the international exhibition for ready-made garments, fabrics, and production supplies—will open next Thursday. The event is organized by Pyramids Group for International Exhibitions.
Dr. Mohamed El-Sherif, Chairman of Pyramids Group, announced that this edition will feature record participation with over 650 local and international companies and brands. The event will also welcome delegations from a wide range of countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil, Italy, Turkey, along with several other Arab and African nations.
El-Sherif described Cairo Fashion & Tex as “a pivotal platform to showcase the capabilities of the local industry as well as present the latest global fashion trends,” noted that its activities cover a wide range of sectors including ready-made garments, fabrics, production supplies, footwear, and bags.
He added that the exhibition features a comprehensive program that includes specialized design workshops supported by the Industry Ministry’s Fashion & Design Center (FDC), in addition to panel discussions held over three days under the theme “Developing the Egyptian Industry… Your Path to Export.”
The Chairman of Pyramids Group emphasized that the exhibition has become a key gateway for boosting foreign investment in the ready-made garments and fabrics sectors, expressing optimism about the potential for significant export deals for Egyptian companies to markets in Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
El-Sherif pointed out that this year’s edition places special focus on young talents and Egyptian designers, aiming to nurture a new generation of creatives capable of competing globally, particularly with the growing reliance on local materials and innovative designs.
He concluded by stressing that this edition represents a major milestone for Egypt’s exhibitions industry and plays a vital role in reinforcing Cairo’s status as the fashion and textile hub of the Middle East and Africa.
