Rich Bake, Egypt’s leading bakery manufacturer, has announced the signing of an agreement with AMF Bakery Systems, the U.S.-based global leader in advanced bakery production technologies. Under the agreement, a new high tech, fully automated new production line for toast and buns will be installed as a part of the company’s expansion plan.
The agreement was signed by Gilbert Hobeika, CEO of Rich Bake, and Vincent Langlois, CEO of AMF Bakery Systems for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific.
Gilbert Hobeika stated that the agreement represents a significant milestone aiming to increase the company’s production capacity by 20% as a first phase of the growth strategy. He emphasized that all expansion phases are fully self-financed, reaffirming the brand strong performance.
He added: “Our new expansions are driven by the rising demand for bakery products in the Egyptian market and reflect our commitment to upgrading our production operations using advanced technology solutions, including AI applications, to improve operational efficiency and enhance product quality in line with international standards.”
The company aims to introduce a wider variety of products that meet the consumer needs, while expanding its footprint in international markets, to target exporting to 15 countries.
Hobeika highlighted that investment in technology and innovation is the one of the main aspects in the growth strategy of Rich Bake. He noted that adopting smart manufacturing solutions contributes to higher productivity, reduced operational costs, and better utilization of resources across the company’s facilities.
Rich Bake continues to develop its healthy range including sugar-free, low-carbohydrate, high protein and more options; using high-quality ingredients designed to promote consumer well-being and improve the nutritional value of the range. This approach, became a necessity in line with the increasing awareness of healthy eating habits among Egyptian consumers specially and global consumers in general.
