ABB, a global leader in technology and solutions for the power and electrical sectors, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) to provide specialized theoretical and hands-on training programs for personnel working with medium-voltage cells at EETC-owned substations. This collaboration seeks to promote a safer and more efficient work environment while driving operational excellence.
The MoU seeks to equip workers with the knowledge to implement international standards for occupational safety and health, thereby fostering heightened awareness and cultivating a safer work environment. This collaboration aligns with ABB’s dedication to advancing the skills of workers in the technology and electrical industries, while transferring global expertise to strengthen national capabilities.
Furthermore, ABB will develop safety guidelines and protocols in alignment with international standards to bolster the culture of occupational safety and health. Additionally, the company will create interactive materials designed to rapidly and effectively disseminate safety awareness among employees.
To further support this agreement, ABB will organize periodic educational courses at facility sites, available both in-person and remotely, to ensure continuous professional development and reinforce safety awareness across the workforce.
